The National Public Toilet Map, commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing, was redeveloped in 2004 by Human Solutions Pty Ltd, in conjunction with a number of subcontractors, service providers and third party data providers.

Together, we provide project management, information architecture, graphic design, software development, spatial infrastructure, usability testing, help desk support, content management, site hosting and ongoing maintenance for the National Public Toilet Map.

The site was refreshed in 2008 to provide a simpler interface, the location of caravan dump points, improved trip planning and new mapping functionality.

The original National Public Toilet Map site (2001-2004) was developed by National Geographic Information Systems (NGIS), and the site was hosted and supported by the Centre for Social Applications of GIS (GISCA).

The National Public Toilet Map is part of the National Continence Management Strategy.
